Quirino Grandstand
Is where the newly elected president of the Philippines takes his or her oath. Named after the former president Elpidio Quirino, it has also been venues for huge political, religious, cultural, and social events (examples are the grand Philippine Centennial celebration in 1998 and World Youth Day in 1995). This coming June 30, the inauguration and oath-taking of the newly elected President (Noynoy Aquino) and Vice-President (Jejomar Binay) will happen in this historic venue.
*Remember to take note that Quirino Grandstand's main landmark streets are either South Drive or Katigbak Drive and Roxas Boulevard. Nearest LRT 1 Station is United Nations (U.N.) Avenue Station. The grandstand faces Rizal Park towards Roxas Boulevard and behind it will be Manila Ocean Park and Manila Bay.
